BIG HAPPENINGS FOR KIDS IN DEERING!

CURIOUS CREATURES AND PETER RABBIT IN DEERING!

Grab your kids, throw them into the car and head on up the hill to Deering Town Hall later this week for some GOOD FUN.

On Thursday, April 30 between 1 and 2 pm CURIOUS CREATURES will once again come to Deering Town Hall. Curious Creatures is a Massachusetts-based group that brings cuddly, and not so cuddly, critters right to Deering Town Hall. Ever pet an alligator? What about a flying squirrel or an agouti? Now's your chance! The event is moderated by an expert of Curious Creatures. Lots of good facts and face time with her/his furry, or scaly, friends. Judging by past experience, this event is very popular..It combines a bit of squirm factor with honest to 'gosh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, isn't she cute!' Curious Creatures is free and open to all!

Peter Rabbit?

Maybe a curious creature, but THIS Peter Rabbit is a story and we will (probably) read about Peter Rabbit at this week's STORY HOUR in Deering Library. Every two weeks kids gather in the library in Deering Town Hall, or when the weather FINALLY becomes warm enough we'll meet in our historic ONE ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE. We read a few short books, goof around a little, maybe do some crafting (to be announced!). There are always freshly home made  muffins, milk, juice, water and coffee. This week Story Hour will be held at NOON following the annual Deering Town Roadside Cleanup, in the second floor of Town Hall. We hope to see you then!
