GHSS CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

Yesterday, 19 February, the first day of the Year of the Gdoat (sheep, ram, ewe.... whatever, some member of the family Caprinae that the Chinese know when they see) was celebrated by a festive lunch in Deering Town Hall. The event was sponsored by the Greater Hillsborough Senior Services in collaboration with Ming Du, or eponymous Hillsborough restaurant fame. Crab Rangoon, steamed dumplings, vege fried riced, beef with snow peas, good old General Tso and his chicken made a welcome appearance along with mystery treat,  Buddha's Delight (didn't know you liked tofu, did you!).  A near capacity crowd of around 110 people tucked into the feast while Riley and Morgan Klumb presented each with traditional gifts in red envelops. It looked to me as though everybody had a good time. Certainly , nobody left hungry!  Here are some pictures for your enjoyment!
